Happy Tuesday

Happiest of Tuesdays to you, my friends! First, thank you so very much for signing up for our little corner of the world. I truly mean that. We may have only just gotten this webpage rolling, but as far as Breezie, Silver, and I are concerned, if you're here, you're family now. So pull up a chair, grab some coffee, and welcome to the morning madness. Mornings around here start early. And by early, I don't mean normal-people early. I mean Silver early. This morning, my eyes popped open at 3:45 a.m. to the beautiful, soothing sound of Silver standing there meowing like he hadn't eaten since for years. Now, this was unusually early, even for him. Silver normally begins first breakfast negotiations somewhere around 4:20 or 4:30. Apparently, this morning he reviewed his schedule and decided management needed to open the restaurant ahead of time. And yes, I said first breakfast. Silver gets a little dry food first, followed by his wet food. That's right, the cat gets two breakfasts every morning. Meanwhile, I'm wandering around in the dark trying to remember my own name. I'm beginning to realize something around here, Breezie and I don't own Silver. We work for him. Once His Royal Hairiness was fed, it was time for coffee. Normally, that's a pretty simple operation. Push a button, coffee happens, life becomes worth living again. But with the burned wire in the RV, we currently have no electricity. So now, before I can have my first cup of coffee, I have to go outside and convince the generator that it would also like to participate in Tuesday. She put up a fight this morning. It turned over, grumbled, then some more, probably made a few promises to the Creator that neither one of us believed, and finally she fired up. She's out there purring like a kitten now. So here we sit, Breezie and me, enjoying our coffee while Silver, who I thought was completely exhausted from eating two breakfasts, is now chasing a moth around the RV that apparently snuck inside with me. The moth doesn't know it yet, but his Tuesday has taken a terrible turn. And you know what? I wouldn't trade this morning for anything. Today, Breezie and I are headed out for supplies and a new switch box so we can hopefully get the electricity in the RV fixed and put this little adventure behind us. But that's life, isn't it? Something breaks. Plans change. The morning doesn't go the way you pictured it. Sometimes you're sitting in the dark at 3:45 in the morning with a hungry Bengal, a stubborn generator, a burned wire, and a moth fighting for its life. And somehow, it's still a beautiful day. Maybe that's one of the greatest lessons this crazy little life keeps trying to teach me. Happiness doesn't begin when everything finally goes right. Happiness is hiding right there in the middle of everything that's going wrong. It's in that first sip of hot coffee. It's in the person sitting beside you. It's in a spoiled cat chasing a moth across the floor. It's in being given another sunrise, another chance, another Tuesday to be here. So whatever you're facing today, my friend, don't let one broken thing convince you that your whole life is broken. Some things can be fixed. Some things simply have to be weathered. And some things that feel like a disaster this morning may become the story you laugh about tomorrow. As long as we're still here, there is hope. There is another sunrise coming. There is another cup of coffee waiting to be poured. And there is still time for something absolutely beautiful to happen. From our little temporarily powerless home to yours, Happiest of Tuesdays, family. Now if you'll excuse me, we have an RV to fix...and I believe Silver has a moth to interrogate. Life is good. And tomorrow can be even better. ❤️
