We Made It to the California Redwoods and Pacific Ocean

We landed. After all those miles, all those mountains, all those roads, and every little surprise along the way, we finally made it to the California redwoods and the Pacific Ocean. What a trip it has been getting here. We came all the way up through the mountains, crossed some beautiful country, followed the road west, and finally reached the ocean. There is just something about seeing that big blue water after traveling so far that makes you stop and appreciate the journey that got you there. Now we’re staying put for a week. For the next several days, Breezy, Silver and I are going to slow things down a little and enjoy this place. We’ll be walking among the giant redwoods, exploring the trails, spending time along the ocean, looking for beautiful places, and taking all of you along with us. Silver has already been watching everything like this whole trip was planned just for him. That’s one of the things we love most about traveling this way. You can spend days getting somewhere, but once you arrive, the road becomes part of the story too. Every mountain, every little town, every person we meet and every unexpected moment becomes something we get to carry with us. And now, for one whole week, the redwoods and the Pacific are home. We have no idea exactly what we’re going to find, and that’s part of the fun. So come hang out with us. We’ve made it to the California redwoods, we’ve made it to the ocean, and this part of the journey is just getting started.
