A Little Mystery in the Morning

We woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of fog hanging over the cove, with the lighthouse across from us just barely showing through it. Its light was glowing through the gray, the trees were fading in and out, and the whole scene had this peaceful little mystery to it. The fog will burn off, the sky will brighten, and before long it looks like we’re going to have another beautiful day here on the coast. But truthfully, we don’t mind the fog one bit. There’s something about not being able to see everything at once that makes you slow down and wonder what’s waiting just beyond it. Maybe that’s part of why we love traveling so much. We don’t always know what’s around the next bend, who we’re going to meet, what we’re going to see, or what little surprise the day has waiting for us. A little mystery keeps life interesting. We’re so glad all of you are following along with us and sharing this journey. We hope your day brings you something beautiful, something unexpected, and at least one good reason to smile. And if your own road feels a little foggy this morning, don’t worry too much about seeing the whole way ahead. Sometimes all you need is enough light for the next step. Keep going.
