Having a Wonderful Time, But Something Big Is Just Around the Corner!

Sometimes the biggest adventures aren't the ones you take with your feet. They're the ones that take you somewhere you never expected to go. Hello, everybody! Breezie and I have been having a wonderful time exploring California, getting out on the hiking trails, climbing around the mountains, and enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery the Creator has put on this Earth. And believe me, we've been getting our exercise! Just look at this picture! There we are, surrounded by giant boulders, overlooking beautiful Lake Isabella, with those magnificent mountains stretching out behind us. These are the kinds of days we love. Fresh mountain air, a little adventure, and another memory to carry down the road. Life is good, my friends, and we're grateful for every minute of it. Meanwhile, Back at the RV... Of course, Silver has been doing what Silver does best. Running the household! That little Bengal cat doesn't care if we've hiked five miles, climbed a mountain, or stayed up late working on our videos and books. At precisely 4:20 every morning, his internal alarm clock goes off. And guess who gets to answer it? Yep, yours truly! Apparently, breakfast is a very serious business when you're Silver. There's no sleeping in, no negotiating, and absolutely no consideration for the poor fellow who has to get out of bed! But we love that little rascal. He's been part of our adventures for years, and I wouldn't trade him for anything. Well, maybe an extra hour of sleep once in a while! Something Very Special Is Happening Tuesday Now, there's something else going on in our lives that has Breezie and me feeling a whole mixture of emotions. We're excited. We're nervous. And I have to admit, we've both got a few butterflies. On Tuesday, October 27, our newest book, The Beautiful Life of Rick, will be released! And this one, my friends, is something very different. When I wrote CONVICT, I opened the door to my own past. I shared the mistakes, the darkness, the prison years, and the incredible changes that brought me to where I am today. But The Beautiful Life of Rick takes readers on an entirely different journey. It's a novel about a man named Rick Mercer and the life he experiences. There's beauty in his world. There are ordinary moments, quiet places, and experiences that might remind you of your own life. But there's something about Rick's story that I want every reader to discover for themselves. And that's all I'm going to tell you! Because some stories deserve to be experienced without somebody standing beside you explaining what's coming next. What If One Book Could Change the Way You Look at Life? That's the question I hope stays with readers long after they've turned the final page. We spend so much of our lives worrying about tomorrow that sometimes we forget just how precious today really is.
