No Feeling Like This In The World
A Beautiful Stop Along the Way Yesterday gave us one of those moments we hoped this book tour might bring. She bought a copy of CONVICT, reached out to meet us along our route, and when we pulled in, she was already there waiting for us with the biggest smile. You could feel the goodness coming from her before we even started talking. I can’t really explain what it feels like to have someone buy something you wrote, carry that story with them, and then take the time to come meet you so you can sign their copy. I just know I felt deeply honored standing there with that book in my hand. We talked, laughed, took pictures, and for a little while people who had never met before didn’t feel like strangers at all. That may end up being one of the greatest parts of this whole trip. The roads, the mountains, the little towns and the history are all beautiful, but moments like this are different. They remind us that there are good people everywhere, and sometimes all it takes is crossing paths at the right place and the right time to feel it. So thank you, Linda, for coming out to meet us. Thank you for the smile, the conversation, the laughter, and especially for trusting me enough to read CONVICT. We’re only a few days into this journey, and already this road is giving us something bigger than miles. If our route happens to bring us near you, we would love to meet you too. Bring your copy of CONVICT, The Adventures of Finius the Skinniest, or Interview with a Honey Bee, and I’d be honored to sign it. We’ll keep posting our upcoming route, pictures, videos, and stories from the road right here at FiniusTheSkinniest.com. Maybe somewhere down this road, we’ll cross paths with you.
