WALKING BENEATH 2,000-YEAR-OLD GIANTS
There are some places you visit that are beautiful, and then there are places that make you feel incredibly small in the best possible way. Walking beneath the ancient redwoods of Northern California was one of those experiences for Breezie and me. Some of these giants were already standing here long before any of us were born, and when you’re underneath them looking straight up into that canopy, it is almost impossible to understand just how massive and old they really are. In this video, we take you right into the redwood forest with us. You’ll walk the trails, see these enormous trees from the ground looking up, and get a real feel for what it is like to be surrounded by living giants that have survived for hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years. But this one is about more than the size of the trees. There is something about these forests that makes everything get quiet. You slow down. You notice the light coming through the canopy, the green covering nearly everything around you, the fallen trees that are still giving life to the forest, and just how peaceful a place can feel when humans haven’t managed to change all of it. We tried to capture that feeling in this video, along with a few laughs, some incredible scenery, and those moments when Breezie and I simply stood there wondering how something this magnificent could possibly be real. Pictures are beautiful, but they cannot show you the scale of these trees. That is why this is one of those videos you really have to watch. So come take a walk with us beneath California’s ancient redwoods. Turn the sound up, give yourself a few minutes, and disappear into the forest with us. Watch the video and come along on the adventure.
